March begins Women's Herstory & Empowerment Month! This month has its roots to 1857 when women from New York City staged a protest over working conditions, and Congress has passed a resolution every year since National Women's History Week in 1981. In Obama's inaugural address on January 2013, he talked about Seneca Falls, Selma and Stonewall as movements of importance. (Click here to read the entire address). The Library of Congress created this resource - http://womenshistorymonth.gov.
