Pacific Islander Living Learning Community

Beginning in Fall 2019, incoming first-year students applying to live in residence halls can apply to be in the inaugural cohort of this new and exciting program.

Like other community theme programs (link is external) at Berkeley, students participating in the living learning community will live on the 4th floor of Slottman Hall in Unit 1.  Residents participate in a two semester, 2 unit academic seminar that provides the unique opportunity to delve into PI scholarship, with a focus on PI student identity development.  The fall seminar will be held Wednesdays from 2-3:30pm.

The living learning community allows PI students to connect with each other while acclimating to UC Berkeley. In addition to the seminar, residents take part in community building events and activities through out the year.
